Language Center
The language center of University of Sam Ratulangi has been in existence since 1991, and has been expanding to serve language needs (particularly English) for all faculties in the university. Staffed by native speakers of English and five Faculty of Literature/Language lecturers all of whom who have been educated abroad, the Center offers language development courses especially to all undergraduate, graduate students and faculty members who feel the need or necessity to improve their English language abilities. Many programs for the development of language skills for all faculty are encouraged and financially supported by the General Administration at the behest of the Rector

Intensive Indonesian programs for foreign applicants. Our Indonesian program is an 11 week intensive program for groups of 8 to 12. Each is taught in small groups (2-3) with an assigned teacher. Students are also placed in a home-stay situation for the length of the program. Most students in this program come from a consortium of 10 universities in the USA, but others are welcomed.
