In order to discuss the improvement of existing cooperation between Sam Ratulangi University and Australia, the Australian Consul General in Makassar led directly by Consul-General Ms. Bronwyn Robbins visited Sam Ratulangi University campus, Manado.
The arrival of the Australian Consul General in Makassar was received directly by the Rector of Sam Ratulangi University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ellen Joan Kumaat, MSc., DEA on Tuesday (03/10/2021). In addition the Australian Consul General has also visited the International Affairs Office of UNSRAT, where there is an Australian Corner accompanied by the head of the office, Dr. Ir. Reiny A. Tumbol, MAppSc. The AussieBangetCorner provides various information about Australia such as information on universities in Australia, scholarships available to study in Australia, as well as general knowledge books including English lessons.
Bronwyn Robbins, said that her visit to North Sulawesi for several days was to strengthen Australia’s relations with the provinces in Eastern Indonesia, and also very much wanted to build various cooperation networks by utilizing existing local potential. A visit to UNSRAT to discuss international relations between universities in Australia and UNSRAT in various forms of cooperation that need to be continuously improved, namely scholarship programs, student/lecturer exchanges, as well as research and technology development.
